Camp Pendleton War Games

When we were in Anaheim in the summer of 2012, the night was filled with the sound of Disneyland's fireworks. Here in Vista, the sounds are pretty much the same, but they are from Camp Pendleton, about 21 miles away. It starts shortly after dark, sometimes just one distant boom, but usually a whole series of booms. The first night we wondered if someone's house exploded, but we quickly learned to relax - it's just war games.
