Waiting for treats

We quit feeding the dogs treats right after dinner; even a dog can figure out that after we finish, they are next. That leads to noisy begging, which we don't like. So now there is a nice long wait between our meal and their treat. Shorty hates waiting. But he figures that quietly giving me "puppy eyes" isn't actual begging.
