San Sebastian with Ria

When Ria, Randy and I went to San Sebastian, we didn't visit the town; instead we went up the hill to see the old fortifications. At the very top of the hill is a statue of Christ of the Sacred Heart. It might be possible to climb all the way up there, but we didn't do it.
There are ruins up here of a small castle (La Monta Castle).
Around the walls are old fortifications and cannons. This has been a strategic point since sometime in the 12th century.
Santa Clara Island sits in the middle of the bay. Something about this house on a rock appeals to me. I wouldn't want to actually live here, but it sure looks good.
The view down into the city is great. Below us was the arc-shaped beach, Playa de la Concha.
And it's a busy harbor below; we just didn't have time to visit everything today.
